Leslie P. Bruce, P.E.
is a Principal of AMD Engineering.

Leslie received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2001 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 2005.  While a student in the Civil Engineering program, Leslie was a member of Chi Epsilon and Tau Beta Pi.  He was also recognized as the most outstanding senior civil engineer.

After graduating in 2001, Leslie joined the Parkhill, Smith, and Cooper, Inc. in Lubbock.  While at PSC, Leslie worked as an Engineer-in-Training on roadway, drainage, airport, water, sewer, and land development projects.  At PSC, Leslie aided in the design and production of plans and specifications for a number of municipal and TxDOT projects.  Leslie also learned Microstation, Geopak, and a number of H&H analysis design softwares while working at PSC.

In May 2005, Leslie relocated to Childress and joined Kimley-Horn and Associates as an Engineer-in-Training.  While at KHA, Leslie quickly became licensed as a Professional Engineer and served as the Office Coordinator.  His work at KHA was focused on municipal and TxDOT roadway and drainage design projects.  He has designed roadways and bridge replacements in the Waco, Fort Worth, Abilene, Austin, Dallas, and Wichita Falls Districts of TxDOT.  He has also served municipal clients in Vernon, Childress, and Lubbock.  While with KHA, Leslie became experienced at roadway and drainage designs using software and analysis tools such as Geopak Roadway, Geopak Drainage, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS.  The drainage experience Leslie gained while with KHA included utilizing multiple drainage design methods such as log-pearson, rational method, SCS, regional regression equations, and variations of all of these based on recent research methods.

In April 2010, Leslie joined AMD Engineering as a firm Principal and Project Manger in the Childress office.  He currently works on projects for private and public clients encompassing a wide variety of engineering services.  Some of the projects that Leslie has worked on at AMD include municipal roadway, water and sewer improvements, bridge inspection, survey coordination, and TxDOT roadway and drainage designs.

Leslie is currently a member of the South Plains Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and serves as a board member of the Childress Economic Development Corporation.  Leslie is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas and Oklahoma and is qualified in Local Government Project Procedures.

A native of Childress, TX, Leslie is married to Shirece and together they are the parents of 2 boys (Cutter and Sterling).  Leslie and Shirece are active members of the Childress community and First United Methodist Church of Childress.
